Barry County Fresh Food Initiative

The Fresh Food Initiative is a local food distribution program through Barry County United Way, in partnership with the Food Bank of South Central Michigan, it was created to assist families when the food budget gets tight. Through private donations and grants boxes of fresh and packaged food are distributed weekly to assist families in need. It is a non qualifying program and open to the residence of Barry County. . Tuesday Distributions sites: Maple Valley Community of Hope Nashville from 9:30am to 10:30am.for those who reside in the Maple Valley School District only.For information call 517-852-0664. . Middleville Local 1002, Distributes the 3rd Tuesday each month at 4:00pm. For information call 269-795-9581. . Wednesday Distribution sites: Hastings First United Methodist Church, every Wednesday, 9am, each family will need to sign in with their name,zip code, and number of people in their household. you should bring a box or laundry basket to collect your food package. for information call 269-945-4010. . Freeport United Methodist Church, the 3rd Wednesday of every month. For information call 616-765-5316. . Orangeville Food Pantry 7-9am St. Francis Episcopal Church, information call Debbe Sullivan 269-532-5705,Fran Haynes 269-929-0604, Ginger Batson 269-218-3682. . "Soups On" program is every Wednesday at the Orangeville St Francis Episcopal Church from 6:30am to 9am call 616-813-6975 for information. . Volunteers are always needed for more information contact the Barry County United Way Volunteer Coordinator Morgan Johnson at 269-945-4010.

Barry County Pheasants Forever Banquet

St Rose School St. Patty Fun Run Register Now!

Caleb's Closet

From 2:00PM to 6:00PM

Caleb's Closet is a non profit organization started in memory of Caleb Duley, a 5yr old who was killed in a traffice accident. Caleb's Closet provides free clothing for anyone in need. It also provides baby formula, blankets, diapers an other items for infants. Caleb's Closet is located in the basement of Community Baptist Church, 502 East Grand Street in Hastings. It is open to the public Wednesday's from 2 to 6pm and the last Saturday of the month. from 1-4pm.

Yoga class

A beginner yoga class is offered at Grace Church in Nashville, M-79, on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm. It is an ongoing class. Make a donation in lieu of a class fee. Contact Grace Church at 517.852.1783

Delton Kellogg Follies Variety Show

Delton Kellogg Students invite you to their Annual Follies Variety Show featuring music, theatrical and comedy performances at Delton Kellogg High School Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:00p.m. and a Saturday matinee at 2:00pm.  Tickets can be purchase in advance at the High School Office for $5. or at the door for $8.00.
