Barry Family Support Worshop in Hastings

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and the Family Support Center of Barry County is sharing ways to better manage stressful situations. Join them Monday April 24th for their next Family workshop at the First Baptist Church 309 E. Mannas Market is a nondenominational, faith inspired, non-profit Michigan corporation serving the entire County of Barry and the communities of the Lakewood School District in Eaton county including Mulliken & Vermontville and Ionia County,including Clarksville, Lake Odessa & Portland by extending a helping hand and providing food, clothing and baby pantry items for those facing dire circumstances beyond their control. Our mission is to provide food and clothing to people during a time of need. We hope to exemplify the compassion of both God and mankind, believers and non-believers alike, toward those people whose lives we touch, remembering to treat each person with dignity and understanding. Manna's Market offers provisions and pathways to those in need with love and respect. Groceries at Manna's Market consistently provided include cereal, macaroni & cheese, peanut butter, pasta, canned tuna, canned fruit and vegetables, soup, potatoes,stuffing, skillet dinners, baking mix, meat and juice or milk. In addition, bread, jelly and syrup may be available and will be distributed as long as supplies last. The amount of food distributed is dependent on the size of the family. In addition Manna's Market has basic clothing available for distribution for those in need, as well as baby pantry items. Paper products, such as paper towels and toilet paper, along with basic toiletries are also available. Who is eligible? Any needy family or individual residing in the County of Barry, or any community is Lakewood School District in Eaton including Mulliken and Vermontville and Ionia countywho meets the basic eligibility requirements. To receive food, bring proof of residency and income for all adults in the household. Families and individuals may come to the Market once every month for as long as needed. Everyone receives what we consider to be six days of food each month. The food, clothing and baby pantry items provided by the Market are free of charge. Michigan Autism Safety Trainings (MAST)

AABC is sponsoring 3 Michigan Autism Safety Trainings(MAST) Barry County First Responders.  First Responder trainings are on April 24th at Thornapple Kellogg High school auditorium at 11:00am & 6:00pm  3885 Bender Rd. Middleville, MI and April 26 at the Barry County 911 Center at 11:00am. 2600 Nashville Rd.
