Barry County Central Dispatch is advising residents in Freeport, Hastings, Middleville, Nashville, Orangeville, Woodland and the Gun Lake area that the tornado sirens in those communities will be tested on Saturday, April 1, at 1 p.m. All tests through October will occur on the first Saturday of the month at 1p.m. 

If inclement weather is present at the time of scheduled testing, the test will be cancelled. 

Those whose community does not have a siren, or are out of range of a community siren, may want to purchase a NOAA Weather Radio or download the American Cross tornado app.
