The Lawrence J. Bauer American Legion Post 45 of Hastings will hold it's annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 29th. The parade will form at the corner of Boltwood & State Streets, at 8:30am. The Parade will step off at 9:30am west on State Street, to North Broadway, North on Broadway to Veterans Memorial at Tyden Park where 2 wreaths honoring all veterans and POW-MIA . A rifle salute will be followed by TAPS with a short presentation honoring all veterans.
Next stop will be on the bridge on N. Broadway to place a wreath in the Thornapple River in honor of military personnel who have served on and under the seas. The Honor Guard will fire a rifle salute followed by TAPS.
Riverside Cemetery will be the final stop at the GAR Monument at the end of the Avenue of Flags. Memorial Day ceremonies will be held there. The grave of the most recently buried veteran at Riverside Cemetery will receive the final wreath and honors of the event.

Hickory Corners Memorial Day begins with a pancake breakfast at the Hickory Corners Fire Dept. from 7:00am to 9:30am.
The Parade begins at 10am at the west end of town at Cadwallader Park and proceeds east through town and ends at the East Hickory Corners Cemetery. Immediately following the parade, there will be a Memorial Service at the East Hickory Corners Cemetery, honoring our departed comrades. Guest speaker will be Retired Colonel Frank J. Walker. A fly over is also scheduled.
Following the Memorial Service a Pulled Pork or Hot Dog Basket will be offered at the Williams American Legion Post 484.
