Hastings Quack Walk is the week of August 12-16th with Sidewalk Sales  Aug. 15th & 16th.  What's a Quack Walk?   Pick up a Puzzle Card from the South Jefferson General Store between Aug. 12th - 16th.  Visit participating businesses that will be listed on the back of the puzzle card.  Find letters hidden at each stop.  Solve the puzzle and turn it in for a chance to win a duck full of prizes.

Vikings on the Run 5k is a fun family event hosted by Lakewood Student Council.  Proceeds help the Student Council projects and activities.  T-shirts are included with regisitration fee, if ordered by August 1st.  Registration for the event will remain open through Aug 15th.  Race day checkin at Unity Field is 8:30am with the Run start time at 9:30am. on Aug. 16th.  There will be a 2 hour window to complete the run.

The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) CH 139 is having its annual Veterans Community Picnic on August 16th. This is a free event! The veterans want to give back to our community who supports us!
There will be pulled pork, hamburgers, hotdogs, potato salad, Cole slaw, and chips. Live music and games for the kids!
This will be at the American Legion located at 2160 M-37 hwy., Hastings... from 1-5pm.
