The Barry County Sheriff’s Office investigated a single vehicle fatal crash on Keller Road near Otis Lake Road in Hope Township. The accident happened Saturday night around 7:23pm.

 

An SUV was traveling westbound on Keller Road when it ran off the roadway and collided with a tree. The 29-year-old male driver was pronounced dead at the scene, he was the only occupant in the vehicle. He was identified as Benjamin Stenger from Delton. Stenger was transported to WMED in Kalamazoo for an autopsy.

 

The crash is still under investigation. It appears speed was a factor in the crash. It is unknown at this time if alcohol or drugs were a factor.
