Hastings Police observed a Ford Econoline Van parked along the road with its emergency flashers on. The woman driver, who appeared to be hysterical, told the office she hit a flag pole so she could get the flag. Upon further investigation  she did not have  a drivers license and was driving a vehicle that did not belong to her.

She was taken to Pennock Hospital because of her condition for evaluation.

The woman, who's name has not be released, is facing charges of leaving the scene of an accident, operating a vehicle without a license, and unlawfully driving away an automobile. The report is now with the Barry County Prosecutor.
