The winter weather that moved through lower michigan over the weekend brought with it Heavy rain, ice, snow and flooding. In Hastings the National Weather Service Climatological Station recorded 2.59 inches of rain from Friday through early sunday morning. Along with the rain, ice pellets, snow and freezing rain. The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has posted flood warnings for rivers affected by the rain including the Thornapple river. The river is now at flood state of seven feet and should begin to go down over the next few days, pending any further heavy rain.
Electric service that went dark in parts of Michigan, have for the most part been restored.
