Storms packing high winds Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning  knocked out electric service to thousands of electric customers.

 The thunderstorm winds brought down trees and large limbs taking down power lines  throughout West Michigan.

Consumers Energy is reporting

Barry County 5,965

Allegan  13,812

Calhoun County 1,492

Ionia County 4,397

Kalamazoo County 6,842

Kent County 48,418

 

Greal Lakes Energy is reporting 786 of their Barry County Customers out of electric service.
