Local officials with the City of Hastings along with state representatives and developer A.J. Veneklasen, Inc. will break ground Monday, November 29 on the 'Lofts @ 128' a mixed-use development in downtown Hastings.
The four-story, 24,000 sq. ft. building at 128 N Michigan Ave. will feature 21, one and two-bedroom market-rate apartments, including many that are ADA compliant, as well as retail and office space on the first floor.
Along with Hastings Mayor David Tossava, members of the City Council, DDA, and planning commission and State Representative Julie Calley, Chris Veneklasen, President for the development company will offer remarks as well as staff members for US Senator Debbie Stabenow and US Representative Peter Meijer.
The ground breaking will take place at 4pm on Monday with construction starting immediately. The 'Lofts @ 128' is expected to will be available for residential and commercial tenants beginning mid-2022.
