Hastings City Council - May 23

The Hastings City Council has long discussed the need for an improved emergency services facility to replace the current undersized and aging fire station.  At the May 23rd meeting the Council approved an agreement with C2AE of Grand Rapids in the amount of $35,230 for site evaluation and design services of a new emergency services building to house the fire department, and potentially the city police and ambulance.

The site to be evaluated is city-owned property on East State Street near Bliss that is currently used for semi truck parking.  C2AE will complete the analysis and prepare conceptual site and floor plans as well as estimated project costs for Council to consider in developing funding options.
