On Friday around 3:42pm first responders were dispatched to a personal injury crash involving a SUV and a motorcycle on Patterson south of 136th Ave in Wayland Township. An Allegan County Sheriff's deputy contracted with Wayland Township arrived on scene and life saving measures were immediately provided but the operator of the motorcycle died from the injuries sustained in the crash. Evidence at the scene indicates that the southbound SUV turned eastbound in front of the northbound motorcycle. The Allegan County Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash. The identifications of the operators are not being released until next of kin is notified and investigation is complete.
