First responders were dispatched around 6:20pm Monday, June 6th to a personal injury crash on M-40 Highway in Allegan County's Trowbridge Township. Allegan County Deputies along with Allegan City Officers arrived on scene and found a single vehicle accident and the only occupant, the driver, had been ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.  The driver was southbound on M-40 when they lost control and crashed into a tree. 

UPDATE:  The deceased has been identified as Joseph Perry Underwood, 34 of Grand Junction.

The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Allegan City Police Department, Gobles / Pine Grove Fire Department, Allegan Fire Department, Life EMS, and the Allegan County Medical Examiner’s Office.
