On Wedneseday 6-22 at 7:40 p.m. Eaton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a fatal crash on Grand Ledge Hwy east of M50. A Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling eastbound and collided head on with a semi-truck traveling westbound.
The driver of the Jeep, Bradly Christopher Hugmeyer, a 21-year-old male from Saranac, died at the scene of the crash. The driver of the semi, a male from New Jersey, was not injured in the crash. This crash is being investigated by the Eaton County Detective Bureau and Accident Investigation Team.
Grand Ledge Hwy was closed for approximately 6 hours during the investigation. Eaton County was assisted by the Sunfield Twp Fire Department, Woodland Twp Fire Department, Woodland Twp Police, Castleton Maplegrove Nashville EMS, and MDOT.
