A 74 year old Lake Odessa Man has been charged for shooting a volunteer for an anti-abortion group on September 20 according to the Michigan State Police.

Richard Alan Harvey shot the 83 year old woman as she was going door to door canvassing about the November ballot to enshrine abortion rights in Michigan.

She was shot in the back and shoulder while  handing out pamplets. 

She then drove herself to the lake Odessa Police Station. She was taken to a nearby hospital  where she was treated.
