The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing $1.2 million to resurface more than 3.5 miles of M-79 from Barryville Road to the western edge of Nashville in Barry County.
Shoulder closures will be in effect throughout the project and daily lane closures will be in place between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. The project is expected to be completed in mid August.
Meanwhile, work is nearing completion on the M-43 culvert project near Delton and the roadway should be re-opening soon, relieving some of the inconvenience of the detours that have been in place for the past several weeks. Re-surfacing of M-43 in the area will still require some lane closures until mid August.
