The Barry County Bar Association will celebrate Law Day on Friday, May 1st . A reception at 11 will be followed by a formal ceremony at noon the Barry County Circuit Courtroom. Keynote speaker is Timothy VerHey, US Attorney for the Western District of Michigan, who will speak on the Law Day theme “The Rule of Law & the American Dream”. The public is welcome to attend.
This year’s Liberty Bell Award will be presented to Carla Wilson-Neil, recently retired C.O.O. of Pennock Hospital.
The Bar Association will present grants to the 2026 co-winners: Serenity Village, Starting Over for Success, and the Barry County Junior Golf Association.
