Carol R. McIntyre, 86, of Hastings, Michigan, passed away at home on October 1, 2021 with family members beside her.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm, Sunday, October 3 at Inter-Lakes Baptist Church, 10247 S. M-43 Hwy., Delton, MI with Pastor Tim Moody officiating. Arrangements are by Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care.
Carol was born in Middleville, MI to Harold & Margaret Griffeth on July 16, 1935. She graduated from Thornapple-Kellogg High School and attended Bob Jones College in Greenville, South Carolina. She married Norman McIntyre on April 16, 1955. She worked as a bookkeeper and tax preparer for Cappon Oil Co, Walters-Dimmick, and Bob’s Gun & Tackle. She also owned and operated a tax preparation business. The business merged with Kendrew A Mueller Accounting. She loved to travel and was an avid photographer.
Carol is preceded in death by her husband Norman McIntyre; grandson Lucas Poll; brother Frederic Griffeth; and sister Jean Vandevenne.
She is survived by: daughters Lyndy (Jerry) Bolthouse and Sandy (Lee) Poll of Hastings; sons Graden (Paulette) McIntyre of Zionsville, IN and Patrick (Bettina) McIntyre of Marietta, GA. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren: Jay Bolthouse, Levi Bolthouse, Carrie Cook, Casey Bolthouse, Doug Poll, Shannon Poll, and Ella McIntyre. She loved seeing the smiles and receiving hugs from her 11 great-grandchildren. Her sister, Joyce Martin of Hastings also survives.
Memorials may be given to Inter-Lakes Baptist Church Memorial Fund or the charity of choice. The family of Carol wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Assadorian, Elara Hospice, Leah Shelton, and Inter-Lakes Baptist Church congregation.
