Three people were killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning on M-79 west of Charlotte. Deputies from Eaton County indicated that slippery road conditions were a factor in the accident.
The crash occurred just before 8am at the intersection of M-79 and Lacey Lake Road in Kalamo Township when two vehicles traveling in opposite directions collided.
Authorities have not released the names of the victims, identified as a 57-year old man and two women ages 64 and 81, all from the Charlotte area.
The driver of the second vehicle, a 30-year old woman from Vermontville, was hospitalized with non-life
threatening injuries.
M-79 was reopened about 2pm. The crash remains under investigation.
