Sunday at 2:15 in the afternoon the driver of a snowmobile was traveling south along the west side of Tischer road in Barry County's Carlton Township when the snowmobile hit a culvert throwing the driver off the snowmobile.

The driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to Spectrum Hospital in Grand rapids. The Barry County Sheriff's office said the driver was wearing a helmet.
