Hastings resident Iris Loftus had the experience of a lifetime when she was 19 years old in London, England where she was born and raised.
The day she took the picture she was working in Her Majestry's Stationary Store not far from Buckingham Palace in 1953.
Queen Elizabeth was riding in an open carriage the day after her coronation when
Iris took the picture from the second story window.
Iris said. " I was so thrilled to see the Queen, I will always remember that special day."
Iris will celebrate her 90th birthday Saturday September 17th.
